John MacArthur for 18 years, and at Grace To You as an editor for 5
years.
- FAMILY:Married to Janie for 32 years. My daughters Kristen (27) and Lauren (24) live in So. Calif.
- HOBBIES:If I have the time, bike riding and hiking.
- MOST HELPFUL BOOK:Decision
Making and the Will of God because it clarifies the confusion we have
over making decisions, which is a non-stop process in life.
- FAVORITE MOVIE:Raiders of the Lost Ark because it is non-stop action and subtle humor from the start.
- FAVORITE MEMORY:Surprising
my wife as a newlywed by showing up unexpectedly on a business trip she
took to Tahiti. I left L.A. with only $25 to my name and lived off of
coconuts for 3 days until she arrived.
- FAVORITE RESTAURANT:The
Blue Bayou at Disneyland because it magically transports you into a
different world, as though I were a child walking through the wardrobe
into Narnia.

- MINISTRY
at FBC: Stuart oversees College, High School, and Jr. High ministries
at First Baptist Church of Auburn, teaching primarily in the High
School and Jr. High ministries.
- MINISTRY before FBC: He
previously served as the director of Jr. High ministry at Grace
Community Church, in Lake Forest, Ca. Stuart also served as the Pastor
of Youth & College Ministries at Christ Community Church in West
Covina, Ca.
- FAMILY: Married to his wife Melanie for 10 years and have three young children: Alayna, Savannah, & Luke.
- HOBBIES:
I like playing basketball in the ARD leagues, and occasionally at lunch
at the Regional. I also enjoy Snowboarding at the local resorts in the
Sierra Nevada’s, golfing at the Ridge (and other local courses), and
playing almost any other sport that involves a ball.
- MOST
HELFUL BOOK: Other than the Bible one of the most helpful books in my
Christian life has been The Knowledge of the Holy, by A.W. Tozer,
because our view of God most shapes our daily life.
- FAVORITE
MEMORY: My honeymoon with my wife on the Island of Maui: snorkeling
& scuba diving in the crystal clear water, watching the sunrise at
Mt. Haleakala, & cruising around the island in a brand new Camaro
we rented.
- FAVORITE RESTAURANT: Ruth’s Chris steak is
hands down the greatest meat experience I have ever had. If you have
the means to go, I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.
